I wanted to see how many book I read a month so I made a list for January - 8 books. Not sure if I’ll do this every month but I’ll try and see how I go!
It’s a bit of a mix - fantasy, murder mystery and autobiographical. Some serious and intense, others light and fluffy.
A Dance With Dragons - George R R Martin
(Book #5 of A Song of Ice and Fire series. Amazing and just as epic as the last 4 books. Completely addictive. Loved that it was just as long as the others in the series - about 1040 pages. Leaves you wanting more)
Hidden Child - Camilla Lackberg
(5th book from Camilla Lackberg. Very good read with an interesting storyline and of course a twist in the plot as always with Camilla.)
Kris Jenner and All Things Kardashian - Kris Jenner
(Kris Jenner’s autobiography, surprisingly interesting and not at all what you would except for a book written by the Kardashian matriarch. Quick, easy but very interesting read.)
Cribs, Cocktails and Getting My Sexy Back - Kendra Wilkinson
(Another quick, easy read however it was a bit lacking any real direction or story line. More just like Kendra talking about her life after having her baby. Not as interesting as I’d hoped.)
The Hunger Games - Suzanne Collins
(First book in her trilogy. Absolutely addictive. Amazing story line and characters. Instantly draws you in. Leaves you hanging and wanting more. Could not read fast enough.)
Catching Fire - Suzanne Collins
(Second in The Hunger Games trilogy. Just as addictive and fast paced as the first. More character development makes you really connect with them and feel their pain. Devoured this one just as quickly as the first.)
Mockingjay - Suzanne Collins
(Third of The Hunger Games. Although just as addictive as the first two I felt the ending was a little too short or just didn’t have as many details as I wanted. After going on such an epic journey through all three books I wanted more when it was finished. Still a great read and an excellent trilogy I would recommend.)
Seriously…I’m Kidding - Ellen DeGeneres
(Light and funny with optimistic views about life, Ellen’s book is a easy and fun read. No real direction but she manages to pull it off and make you smirk or hold in a laugh every chapter.)
Favourites
A Dance With Dragons (need to read the entire A Song of Ice and Fire series - amazing)
The Hunger Games Trilogy
